A Step Back in Time
Cache Creek celebrates the 50s and 60s. If you remember this era, Cache Creek is the place to visit. The entire town's theme is based round the 50s and 60s. Girls in poodle skirts to that 57' Chevy cruisin' downtown are common sights in this quaint community.
Cache Creek is in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District in beautiful British Columbia. It has approximately 980 residents in this small community. The logo on the visitor center features a 57' Chevy setting the tone, for a step back in time.
This Round Oak Chief stove was manufactured most likely early 1900s. It was made by the Round Oak Stove Company of Dowagiac, Michigan. The company was originated in 1871, exclusively as a maker of heating stoves and expanded the manufacture of cooking stoves in 1889.
This Round Oak Chief stove is a fine example and still in excellent condition. It has a large lower oven, flat cooking surface with six burner plates and a warming oven overhead. Round Oak Chief is boldly displayed on the warming oven. This stove has a large water reservoir, fire box and ash cleanout and of course the stove pipe.
