In 1926, the Elbe River was regulated in the Neratovice section, the riverbed was straightened and the Kozel pool was established. Water flows into the pool from the river at river kilometer 851.9. The water returns to the river through the canal - the mouth of the canal is at river kilometer 850.1.
This sluice is about 0.5 km from the mouth of this canal, the canal intersects with Hlavní street.
