Based on the casting this bell was made by "William Blake & Co formerly H.N. Hooper". William Blake, Hooper’s partner, continued to operate the foundry starting in 1868, supplying bells to churches in New England, to Amherst College, and to New York’s City Hall.
William Blake & Co. of Boston cast bells and sweet sounding chimes from 1869 to 1888. The Blake Bell Co. managed by Walter Grueby continued to cast bells at least until 1898. Source: (
