He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of the late Earnest and Lillian Loretta (Dickson) Reid. On Oct. 22, 1977, he married Paula Lee Edmiston.
Surviving are his wife, Paula; two sisters: Carol Duffee Miller and husband, Clark, of Hollidaysburg, and Judy Sunseri in Missouri; a brother, Paul Reid; a special nephew, Mark Plowman of Pittsburgh; two nephews: Jeff Reid of Altoona and Mike in Missouri; and four nieces: Debbie, De, Terry and Linda, all in Missouri.
Donald was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He retired as a supervisor from the maintenance department of Hollidaysburg Area School District after 14 years of service. He was a master electrician, licensed in the city of Altoona. Additionally, he was a volunteer firefighter at Phoenix Fire Department, Hollidaysburg. He enjoyed electronics, and he loved computers.
