EN: The bird-like figure of Loplop was created by Max Ernst in his youth, but was first presented to the public in the 1930s in the work "Loplop introduces Loplop". When the school was renamed Max-Ernst-Gymnasium on April 2, 1981, Loplop was also adopted as a mascot. Among other things, it was placed in the school's logo and set up near the entrance area and a few years later on the roof as a silhouette made of thick aluminum sheet.
