Date of erection: 1924-25. Ground was broken April 1, 1924, and construction was completed by the end of 1925. The building opened to the public January 16, 1926.

Architect: John A. Dempwolf of York, Pa., was responsible for the design; George Bradley, also of York, supervised the construction.
