The mural was painted as a collaboration between 3 organisations / people and inspired by a community scheme where vegetables and herbs are grown throughout Garforth for public consumption.
The bottom left corner of the mural lists the three contributors to the project.

volunteers for ediblegarforth plant and maintain ae number of small vegetable plots around Garforth where vegetables and herbs are grown in public spaces. People are invited and encouraged to pick the produce for use at home.
They also encourage people to grow their own vegetables at home.
