The Northfield Board of Trustees of Veterans Memorials and Veterans Services and the Historical Society of Northfield has created an outdoor Civil War Memorial that is always available to the public. The town's other Civil War memorial is located indoors at the Northfield Elementary School. The memorial features two sets of three granite ledger books, set opposite each other, with the names of Civil War veterans inscribed on facing pages. The memorial was dedicated on June 12, 2016.
