Over het gebouw " ‘T WAPEN VAN HAARZUYLEN":
Eind 19e eeuw is met de bouw van Kasteel de Haar het oorspronkelijke dorp Haarzuilens, dat naast het kasteel lag, verplaatst naar de huidige locatie.De nieuwe opzet voor het dorp kwam rond een brink. Ter vervanging van een oude boerderij die als herberg en raadhuis fungeerde maar met de kasteelaanleg ook werd afgebroken, verrees rond 1898 t’ Wapen van Haarzuylen aan de Brink
Deze herberg en raadzaal werd gebouwd in opdracht van de baron naar een ontwerp van architect van Straaten en J. Cuypers. Die laatste was ook verantwoordelijk voor de bouw van het huidige Kasteel de Haar.
De raad van Haarzuilens vergaderde tot 1954 in de raadzaal. De raadzaal heeft een eigen toegang via de stenen trap aan de noordkant. Onder deze trap zitten twee arrestantenhokken.
De eerste steen zit rechts In de hoek van de voorgevel met de datum 17 augustus 1897 en de namen van baronessen van het kasteel uit die tijd.
De tekst van de gevelsteen loopt om de hoek van de gevel door.
In 1989 werd de herberg verbouwd. De oude serre verdween en het hoofdgebouw werd met een zaal en woning in dezelfde stijl uitgebreid.
In het oude deel zijn nog originele elementen te vinden zoals muurtegels, schouwen en de stenen vloer.

This inn and council chamber was built by order of the baron to a design by architect van Straaten and J. Cuypers. The latter was also responsible for the construction of the current Kasteel de Haar.
The Haarzuilens council met in the council chamber until 1954. The council chamber has its own access via the stone staircase on the north side. Under this staircase there are two detention pens.

The inn was renovated in 1989. The old conservatory disappeared and the main building was expanded with a hall and house in the same style.
In the old part you can still find original elements such as wall tiles, fireplaces and the stone floor.
