Main Street (Highway 77) runs north-south along the west side of Mulhall. Mulhall was settled after the Land run of 1889. It was named for Zach Mulhall, father of Lucille, the first official "cowgirl" to compete against men in rodeos, and win.
On the northeast corner of Main and Baty Avenue, together with two sculptures of longhorn cattle, this wagon is from the Land Run Era. It is a covered wagon, although the canvas cover no longer exists. The wagon is made of rough boards, with curved wood straps across the top which once supported the cover. It stands on four iron wheels. It has not been restored and exists is its full 132-year old glory.
