Martin Park Nature Center welcomes guests with a large park sign as soon as you leave the parking lot. A 3D map is in front of the sign, as well as contribution plaque. Just past the sign, across the pedestrian bridge, is the Courage Trail trailhead.
Text on right side of park sign:
The Integris Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Courage Trail
The first accessible nature trail in Oklahoma City that allows all visitors to enjoy the beautiful vistas, interesting wildlife, and activities of Martin Park Nature Center.
The Courage Trail is a result of collaboration with the City of Oklahoma City, Wilderness Matters, Inc. Friends of Martin Park Nature Center, numerous generous individuals, corporate and foundation donors, and a host of local and out-of-state designers and construction experts. We are particularly grateful to Integris Health for helping make this important project a reality.
