The pub sign is a silhouette cutout of a vulture with a crown. The crown, the talons and some feathers on the vulture are painted on in gold.
At 5 stories high,
the George and Vulture is known as the tallest pub in London. Located at the intersection of Haberdasher and Pitfield streets, originally built in 1870, serving the finest sourdough pizzas, Sunday roasts, delectable beers, and fine whiskey.
Many thanks to Master Mariner for finding this waymark and the use of his pictures.
