A granite monument, smooth finish front and rear, with rough cut sides setting upon a granite base with smooth top and rough sides. Attached to front of monument a bronze spread eagle with an inscribed bronze plaque below it .
Monument was dedicated July 4, 1929 by the Town of Paxton
Inscription reads:
