Lombardsijde is niet meteen de eerste plek waar je aan denkt bij een uitstap aan zee. Het is er absoluut niet toeristisch, het strand ziet er verlaten uit en in eerste instantie lijkt er weinig te beleven. Toch vind ik dit dorp aan de Vlaamse kust zeer fijn, net omdat het zo rustgevend en verlaten is. Een strand dat vol zonnekloppers ligt? Een dijk waar je omver gelopen wordt? Daar pas pas ik liever voor! Laat mij maar even gezellig uitwaaien aan dit fijne stukje kust waar je de rust kan gaan opzoeken en je weer helemaal zen voelt!

Lombardsijde is not exactly the first place that comes to mind when you consider a trip to the sea. It is absolutely not touristy, the beach looks deserted and at first glance there seems to be little going on. Yet I really like this village on the Flemish coast, precisely because it is so peaceful and deserted. A beach full of sun worshipers? A dyke where you get knocked over? I'd rather try that! Let me get a breath of fresh air at this nice piece of coast where you can find peace and quiet and feel completely zen again!
