The Birregurra station was constructed in 1877 and features polychromatic brickwork walls and chimneys, a residence for the station master and a bellcast iron verandah along the platform.
The Birregurra railway water tower which is substantial reminder of the former branch railway to Forrest (1891-1975), forming part of the locomotive servicing infrastructure.
The complex once included a cast iron drinking fountain, picket fences, the lamp room, goods shed and north platform which have all been removed.
