The shelter is composed of glass or plastic like material with wavy like patterns in brown. Similar to melted chocolate. It is located near the center of campus, adjacent to the CoolSpaces 2002 plaque.
The plaque says, "CoolSpaces 2002 is an urban forest program that enlists the support fo citizens in Utah communities to help reduce heat islands and energy use through the strategic planting of trees. Thermal images of this area from a NASA flyover in 1998 identified urban hot spots. Utah Power, a 2002 Olympic Environmental Champion, grew and donated 50 trees, planted here by students, to increase the tree cover around buildings and walkways, to help make this a "Cool Community"."
