This is something of a historical park, with old farm implements complementing this old log school and a historic post office. The building itself is in very good condition considering its age, but there's nothing going on inside: It's simply being used for storage. A wood sign reads "Bee Branch School 1876-1881" while the laminated sign by the door provides some background:
Donated by Frank Conger
This log school house built in 1876, was the first school and place of worship in Zephyr. It was located in the area of the present cemetery near the current pavillion [sic]. It is of the opinion that it had two rooms. It was moved to the Harrison Petty Ranch, which was originally purchased by T.A. Ish and later bought by Murphy Petty and currently owned by Frank Conger.
