What used to be the old Pearl Brewery has now been rebranded as "The Pearl" and is, as its marketing states, a "... complex now offering dining, shopping, a farmers' market & event space." This is north of downtown, Iin the Midtown area. This amphitheater is along the waterfront of the San Antonio River Walk extension that goes past The Pearl complex as it exists now. The Emma Hotel is the south boundary to this amphitheater.
The seating consists of arched rows of large cut limestone blocks arranged along seven (7) stepped rows that are cut from the river bank and offset between each row for eating and walking behind those seated. The rows form arches about 140 feet across from the right side to the left side. The distance from the back row down to the theater stage is about 115 feet distance. Some trees offer some partial shade but there is no manmade overhead coverings.
