Long Description:

Lovises Spring was probably named in 1840 by the convention clerk at Roskilde Priory, Lovise von Wimpffen, who named the spring after herself. At the same time, a stone wall was made at the spring.
Over time, the spring has been drained, but after years, there were again water. When the stone wall was dilapidated, a new design of the springs outlet was established in 1986. The spring was now established with a large millstone from which the water comes up.
The millstone was donated by the politician Knud Tholstrup, who had donated a collection of millstones to Roskilde Municipality.
