Shirley Lynne Case the primary subject of the very large mural is one of two murals on the walls of the Community Hall that honor citizens of 100 Mile House. Shirley was just 30, when she was tragically murdered while in Afghanistan along with two other aid workers. Shirley was born in 100 Mile House on October 14, 1977 passed away on August 13, 2008.
Artist Dwayne Davis completed the mural in 2015 and also was the artist for the accompanying mural. These and other murals, ten in total, were sponsored by the 100 Mile House Mural Society, established in 2004.

The Shirley Case mural on the north west wall was funded by the 100 Mile House Mural Society, the South Cariboo Truckers Assoc. and the friends and family of Shirley Case and painted by Dwayne Davis in 2015.The daughter of Alex and Deb Case, Shirley is honoured for her free spirit, volunteer efforts and peace keeping role in Canada, Central America, Africa, and Indonesia - and inspiration for our young people.
