This site is just south of the border of NC/SC, and eagerly welcomes you to the "Nation's Most Military-Friendly State"
But what makes it so? North Carolina is known nation-wide for several large military bases:
Camp Lejeune, United States Marine Corps
Cherry Point, United States Marine Corps Air Station
Fort Bragg, United States Army
New River Air Station
Pope Air Force Base, United States Air Force
Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, United States Air Force
These bases have become a key sector of the state economy over the years, allowing a merger between the public and private sectors. Companies across the state utilize the contracts provided to them by these installations. And the bases represent three of the five major branches of the military - The Marines, Air Force, and Army.
