That year, the Marist Province of North America was created. It was divided into two separate provinces in 1911, one Canadian and the other American, as a result of the rapid growth in the membership of the community. At that time, 229 Marist Brothers were in Canada, present in 35 establishments, mainly in Quebec. The expansion of the community then continued in the province, notably in the regions of Montreal, the Gaspé and the Saguenay. In 1929, the provincial house, the juniorate and the scholasticate were transferred to a new building in Iberville on the banks of the Richelieu river.
