This tunnel is in the Steep Rock Preserve in Washington, CT. This trail was once part of the Shepaug Valley Railroad. The line shut down and now the railroad is a trail through this preserve. The tunnel looms ominously, especially if you're not expecting it! Once you get right up to it, you almost immediately can see light peeking in from the other side.
