The church is a rendered sandstone building constructed in 1858 the stone being quarried from Richmond Park about 10 kms away. The Church has four Gothic-style windows on the northern side and five on the southern side. The Church was used by the Josephite Sisters as a school until the school was closed in 1880, since then it has been the local Catholic Church
