DE: Im Jahr 2011 wurde der alte, baufällig gewordene Aussichtsturm im Wintersportgebiet "Am weissen Stein" in Hellenthal-Udenbreth aus dem Jahr 1973 abgerissen. Es dauerte dann bis 2014, bis nach der Planungsphase mit einem Neubau begonnen werden konnte. Am 15. Oktober 2014 wurde der 29,7m hohe Turm dann eingeweiht. Eine Plattform aus verzinkten Gitterrosten befindet sich sich auf 13m und eine weitere, umlaufende Plattform auf 25m Höhe (und somit auf etwa 715m über NN). Auf jeder der vier Seiten der oberen Plattform ist eine Orientierungstafel angebracht, die das gesehene Panorama erläutert. Angebracht wurden die Tafeln zur Fertigstellung des Turmes von der Initiative Eifel-Blicke, einer Kooperation von Naturpark Nordeifel e.V. und Rureifel Tourismus e.V..

EN: In 2011, the old, dilapidated observation tower in the winter sports area "Am weissen Stein" in Hellenthal-Udenbreth from 1973 was torn down. It then took until 2014, after the planning phase, to start with a new building. The 29.7m high tower was inaugurated on October 15th, 2014. A platform made of galvanized grating is located at 13m and another, circumferential platform at 25m height (and thus at about 715m above sea level). On each of the four sides of the upper platform there is an orientation board that explains the panorama seen. The boards for the completion of the tower were attached by the Eifel-Blick (Eifel views) initiative, which is a cooperation between the Nordeifel Nature Park and Rureifel Tourismus e.V..
