The Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Historic District has 78 contributing buildings and two contributing objects within its boundary. The Caesar Forman Healing Center is one of these buildings and the only odd shaped building. Originally built as a gazebo around 1925 it has been enclosed and is now a healing center.
From the NRHP Historic District application, page 4, section number 7:
“The only octagonal plan structure in the district is the former gazebo located immediately north of the Colby Temple, now used as the Caesar Forman Healing Center (photo 10). Constructed about 1925, the building was originally a typical open gazebo but was later enclosed with plywood siding and given a door and awning windows”. (
