The Azenha de Paderne is a medieval water mill built by the Arabs during their occupation of the area. It was associated with the nearby castle of Paderne.

It's now in private ownership although free access to the place is provided. Actually, it's in a hiking trail which also passes by the castle and the medieval bridge. Access by car is available although parking by the arch marking the access is recommended due to the poor condition of the downhill dirt road.
