The Panhandle Oil Company was headquartered in nearby Wichita Falls, where the company operated an oil refinery and constructed service stations throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. This vintage station probably dates from the 1930s, based on the age of one of the pumps. The station has been acquired by the Burkburnett Historical Society (housed next door) and is undergoing restoration.
