This Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT) train depot once served the oil boom town of Burkburnett. In fact the depot was here before the town! It originally served the oil fields here that arose from the 1918 Fowler Discovery Well. A 1973 photo, taken from the track side, shows the depot with no other structures nearby.
