The wooden hooded Tynwald President's Seat in the chancel of The Royal Chapel.

The high-backed seat bears a name plate for the current Lieutenant Governor and a Triskelion. On the padded high back of the seat is a light-coloured wooden shield on which is painted a red and gold Crown trimmed with ermine. Above the seat is an ornate wooden hood which is decorated with gold-leaf.

The name plate currently displays the following:

'LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
HIS EXCELLENCY
SIR RICHARD GOZENY K.C.M.C. C.V.O.

The seat is on the north side of the chancel and is alongside seats of the other Legislative Council Members and reflects the special character of the Chapel as the 'Tynwald Church'.
