ANWB Monument Plaque reads:
"PENNINCKSHUIS
Built around 1600 for Herman Pinninck. The six statues above the entrance door represent virtues. Later possibly used as a Catholic convent. In 1890 it was rebuilt as a service building for the Mennonite (now also Remonstrant) church behind it."
