"Aujourd'hui le monument de la Grande Guerre est situé entre la poste et l'administration communale, entre les Places Verte et VAN ZEELAND, dans la perspective de la Rue des Martyrs de Soltau.

Il avait été érigé sur la Place VAN ZEELAND. En 2009, suite à des travaux de rénovation de cette place avant d'être déplacé.

Les inscriptions figurant sur le monument sont sur la face avant:

TOMBÉS AU CHAMP D'HONNEUR

[Trente-cinq noms, sur deux colonnes, classés par ordre alphabétique]

MORTS DES SUITES DE LA GUERRE

[Sept noms, sur deux colonnes, classés par ordre alphabétique]

et sur la face arrière:

DÉPORTÉS DÉCÉDÉS

[Soixante-six noms, sur trois colonnes, classés par ordre alphabétique, sauf onze]

Une petite plaque a été ajoutée en bas à droite du monument:

Sur ce piédestal en pierre bleue de Soignies deux personnages : un soldat debout avec son fusil et un homme, pieds nus et  un genou à terre tenant un bouclier."

"Today the Great War monument is located between the post office and the municipal administration, between Places Verte and VAN ZEELAND, in the perspective of the Rue des Martyrs de Soltau.

It was erected on the Van Zeeland Square. In 2009, following renovation work on this square before it was moved.

The inscriptions on the monument are on the front side:

A small plaque has been added at the bottom right of the monument:
