Poet's Seat Tower is a three story high observation sandstone tower with an internal stairway that was built in 1912 to replace a wooden tower built in 1873. It provides a scenic vista to the west. It is so named because of the poets that were drawn to the area of the tower for inspiration, in particular Greenfield poet Frederick Goddard Tuckerman who is responsible for naming the location "Poet's Seat".
