Gene Yoder is interred in Pleasant View Cemetery, southwest of Darlow, Kansas. According to his obituary (linked above) he was a switchman for the Rock Island Railroad, and later the Union Pacific Railroad, for forty years. A Union Pacific diesel locomotive is engraved on his marker. His wife Susan is still living at this time; her side of the double headstone is inscribed with a knitting needle and spool of yarn.
