A Wichita Public School has a free food pantry located on the east side, along Chautaugua. This is a red, two-shelf structure located next to the public sidewalk.
At the time of my visit, the following items were seen inside:
a bag of rice, several bags of pasta meals, three cans of vegetable soup, three cans of sliced pears, a few candy canes, two cans of garbanzo beans, an orange, a bag of dry green peas and a package of instant soup.
