DE: Die Schlosserei Kuhl befindet sich seit dem Jahr 1925 in der Mühlenstraße 79 in Brühl. Ihre Dienste preist sie mit einem von Hans-Joseph Kuhl anlässlich seiner Meisterprüfung handgeschmiedeten Lampenausleger mit Schriftzug an: Ein paar gekreuzte Schlüssel in einem Kreiselement zeigen das Zeichen der Zunft, darüber ist in einem Feld der Name der Schlosserei herausgearbeitet und vergoldet. Der von dünnen Stäben eingefasste und mit einem Metalldecke geschützte Lampenkörper findet sich wiederum über dem Schriftzug in der Nähe der Hauswand. Die Zuleitung zur Lampe wurde in ein gebogenes Metallrohr mit blattähnlichen Zierelementen verborgen.

EN: The Kuhl locksmith's shop has been located at Mühlenstrasse 79 in Brühl since 1925. She praises her services with a hand-forged lamp bracket with lettering by Hans-Joseph Kuhl on the occasion of his master’s examination: A couple of crossed keys in a circular element show the guild's symbol, and above them the name of the locksmith’s shop (Schlosserei Kuhl) is carved out and gilded. The lamp body, framed by thin rods and protected by a metal ceiling, can be found above the lettering near the house wall. The lead to the lamp was hidden in a bent metal tube with leaf-like decorative elements.
