This U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Triangulation Station Disk is at the northwest corner of Mt. Hope Cemetery, west of Mankato, Kansas. The triangulation station disk is set on a concrete monument just outside the white rail fence; there is a witness post nearby so it is easy to find. The disk is stamped MT HOPE and dated 1950. Reference Mark 1, also set on a concrete monument, is about thirty feet south, also just outside the fence. Reference Mark 2 should be across the gravel road, but I could not find it; however, there is a concrete survey post there.
