"Mentionné dès le XVIIe siècle, le site présentait un édifice plus petit que l'actuel, dédié à Sainte-Anne, patronne des sculpteurs et des dentelières. Devenu vétuste quelques siècles plus tard, l'édifice fut remplacé par la chapelle actuelle, de style néo-gothique, érigée par les bénévoles du village en 1878. Elle abrite actuellement une statue de Sainte-Anne en marbre blanc datant elle aussi de la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle.
L'endroit est également symbolique pour les habitants de Silenrieux à plus d'un titre. Il accueille le grand feu le premier dimanche du carême et voit défiler la procession de la Sainte-Anne, le dimanche suivant le 25 juillet. Attesté depuis 1619, la procession 'Madame Sainte Anne' constitue un évènement religieux, festif et populaire réunissant aujourd'hui plusieurs centaines de marcheurs en uniformes militaires d'une autre époque et en armes. La Marche Sainte-Anne est reconnue come chef d'œuvre du patrimoine de l'Unesco."

" Mentioned as early as the 17th century, the site had a smaller building than the present one, dedicated to Sainte-Anne, patron saint of sculptors and lace-makers. Having become dilapidated a few centuries later, the building was replaced by the current neo-gothic-style chapel, erected by the village's volunteers in 1878. It currently houses a white marble statue of Sainte-Anne, also dating from the second half of the 19th century.
The place is also symbolic for the inhabitants of Silenrieux in many ways. It hosts the great fire on the first Sunday of Lent and the procession of Saint Anne on the Sunday after 25 July. The procession of St. Anne has been documented since 1619 and is a religious, festive and popular event that today brings together several hundred marchers in military uniforms from another era and in arms. The Sainte-Anne's March is recognised as a masterpiece of UNESCO's heritage."
