On August 29, 1948, seventy years ago yesterday, the O Couto stadium was inaugurated. The field was opened after several months of works and an investment of 1,400,000 pesetas at that time. The opening match was played by Unión Deportiva Orensana (UDO) and Racing de Ferrol. The anniversary was collected yesterday on his Facebook by Jorge Paz, a great fan of football and the history of this sport in Ourense in particular, as well as a follower of UD Ourense. The field is still there, seventy years later, after having overcome some crises and change projects that remained in the drawer. Today it is shared by the Unión Deportiva Ourense, heir to the legacy of the Club Deportivo Ourense and the old UDO, and the Ourense Club de Fútbol. UD Ourense presents its new kits today.
