A unique location within the large FDR Memorial is this sobering look at a bread line "stand-by-me" statue. You can see the men waiting in line by the door and can take your place at the back of the line.
The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little. -FDR
The memorial is worth a visit, there's a lot of great things there honoring FDR and what his presidency meant. You can read more about the memorial and see another image of the breadline on Wikipedia.
