Schaijk is natuurlijk van oorsprong een boerendorp en daardoor niet zo heel rijk aan kunstobjecten. Dit is echter slechts ten dele waar; voor degene die eruit op trekt en zijn/ haar ogen open houdt is er wel degelijk kunst te vinden in ons mooie dorp. Voor het dorpshuis De Phoenix staat bijvoorbeeld een beeld. Het is genoemd commedia dell'arte en is gemaakt in 1992 door Bart van Hoek. Het beeld is gebaseerd op "Comedia del Arte" en geeft uiting aan de beleving van de muzische kunsten: zang, dans, toneel en muziek.

Schaijk is of course originally a farming village and therefore not very rich in art objects. However, this is only partly true; for those who go out and keep their eyes open, there is indeed art to be found in our beautiful village. For example, there is a statue in front of the village hall De Phoenix. It is called commedia dell'arte and was created in 1992 by Bart van Hoek. The image is based on "Comedia del Arte" and expresses the experience of the musical arts: song, dance, theater and music.
