A portion of this Wal-Mart parking lot is shaded by photo-voltaic solar panels harvesting the abundant New Mexico sunshine. According to the web page linked below, this is the largest solar carport yet constructed. Whether they mean "in the world" or "in Truth or Consequences" or something in between is left unclear. The solar carport also has LED lighting for added security.
