The playground is situated between the parking and the beach area with picnic grounds, restrooms, pavilions and volleyball courts. There are no fees involved for any of the above except pavilion rental.
apparatuses in the playground include a climbing wall, a balance beam, swing set, and sliding board. The ground area is covered with wood chips. There are plenty of large trees that offer shade nearby.
Muskrat beach is open from late-May to mid-September, from 8:00 A.M. until sunset.
