Mary Ann McDonald Ripley was born in Scotland on February 7, 1886 and passed away in Kelowna, British Columbia on December 19, 1988 at the age of 102 years of age.

Oliver Cemetery was established about 1870 and is very well maintained. There is a veterans section, and a scattering garden and the oldest sections are Sage and Okanagan. There are approximately 3,500 interments that are graced by towering trees and well maintained grassy areas.

There are numerous dedicated benches and trees, and a memorial garden with a gazebo.
