Whilst travelling through the southern area of Tunisia we saw this statue of a camel rider on a roundabout in Douz.

The city of Douz is famous for the camel racing that happens here, the statue shows a racing camel.
The Festival of the Sahara takes place in Douz at the end of every December. Thousands of people coming from all over the Sahara region to take part in this great celebration of Saharawi culture. The city has lots of groups coming from the neighbouring countries to perform traditional arts, singing, dancing, arabic table games, competitions, camel races, and much more.
