Today, some 140 years later, churches are among the most striking features of the town….
Beyond the Library is ST. PETER'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, of native marble.
THE BERKSHIRE HILLS, 1939
We did not enter the church, but did manage to get some external photos. The description in the American Guide book was a little light. The church itself is a very impressive structure, with several crosses atop high points such as the steeple and bell tower.
