[FIN] Kakolan funikulaari (ruots. Kakolafunikularen) on Turun Kakolanmäen etelärinteeseen alkukesästä 2019 valmistunut rinnehissi eli funikulaari. Linnankatu 55b:n kohdalta lähtevä funikulaari kuljettaa jopa 30 henkilöä kerralla, ja matka kestää minuutin verran molempiin suuntiin. Ainakin aluksi funikulaarin käyttö tulee olemaan ilmaista samalla tavoin kuin 200 metrin päässä sijaitsevalla Förillä ajelu. Föri ja Kakolan funikulaari ovat molemmat osa Turun seudun joukkoliikennejärjestelmää eli Föliä. Myös ”Fölikulaariksi” kutsuttu funikulaari palvelee Kakolanmäelle rakentuvaa uutta asuinaluetta, joka on osittain saneerattu vanhoihin vankilarakennuksiin.
[EN] The Funicular is the first outdoor inclined elevator in a Finnish city. The funicular offers unimpeded access to Kakolanmäki hill where there is no other public transport. The funicular will run between Linnankatu and Graniittilinnankatu at Linnankatu 55b. The funicular will be put into operation on Friday 24 May 2019.
Travelling on the funicular is free of charge and it serves passengers on weekdays from 4:30 am to 01:00 am and on weekends from 05:00 am to midnight.
The funicular has a lower station and a top station at both of which you can get on or off. There has been operational problems since introduction of this funicular.
