It is mentioned as a parish church in the middle of the 14th century. The late Gothic building from the 16th century has been rebuilt many times in history. After a fire in 1658, the church was rebuilt in the Renaissance style. Baroque building modifications took place in the 18th century. It was also renovated in the 19th century and in 1919. Since 1958 it has been protected as a cultural monument.
