Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church is the is the first Roman Catholic church in Franklin County. It was established in 1868 as a mission church of the parish in Northampton, MA to serve the needs of the growing number Irish and French-Canadian immigrants that settled in the area. The church was constructed in 1871 in the Victorian Gothic Revival style designed by architects Roberval J. Hubert and James Murphy. The bell tower was added in 1889.
A bronze plaque the entrance to the church is inscribed:

The façade of the main block of the church has a steeply pitched gable roof and covered with white shingles. A set of steps leads up to a protruding entrance covered with a gable roof. Above the entrance is a Gothic arch window containing three round inserts each with a rounded cross then a Palladian window and a statue in a Gothic niche. On the west side is a thin chimney and a single Gothic window to complete the façade. To the east of the main block is square bell tower. The bottom three levels contain a Palladian window, a single Gothic window and another Palladian window. A tile roof separated it from the belfry which has a double set of louvered windows on each side. Above the belfry is an octagonal tapered steeple which is decorated with white triangular inserts. The sides of the main block are six bays wide with basement windows and Gothic windows at each bay.
