Ladder Fire Truck-The Town of Old Orchard Beach, Maine purchased for $14,000 this Quadruple Ladder Fire Truck in 1930 (the motion carried by 4 votes). It was in continuous use, mostly for training, until 1989 when it was donated to the museum.
It was used in fighting the disastrous Palmer House fire in 1958.
It carries 365 feet of ladders, 1000 feet of 2 ½ inch hose, a booster tank and hose, and a 1000 gallon /minute pump.
The wide, white sidewall tires have been replaced and the seats reupholstered-the rest is original and in perfect running condition.
